In this 90-minute class, children experience a short version of international school life. We start with circle time, dance time,  activity time (arts and crafts, etc.), and end with good-bye circle time. We encourage them to hear and use daily conversation.

Your child can learn English like a native English speaker child. Drilling to say English is easy way to teach, however, in this class, teachers make students to speak in English and communicate with friends or/and teachers. This is the best way of this English class.

Few times a year, we will have parties which students will show parents their English ability.

Advanced English Class  NEW

Starting this school year, new course of study guidelines will be implemented in the Japanese Public Schools, and the English course will be changed a lot. Until now, 5th and 6th graders have learned English as “Foreign Language Activities”. However from April 2020, 3rd and 4th graders will learn “Foreign Language Activities”, and 5th and 6th graders will learn “English” as a regular school subject. This means there will be textbooks and tests, and reports will be issued starting in the 5th grade. Also, the schools will aim to teach 600 to 700 words during elementary school. It was also decided that students need to learn all four skills: reading, writing, listening to, and speaking English.
So, to help students prepare for these curriculum changes, Orange offers an Advanced English Class for 1st and 2nd grade students. In this class during the first semester (May-Sept), we will focus on expanding the students’ vocabulary. This will start with basic words (colors, shapes, and numbers) and move on to theme-based vocabulary (transportation, foods, , sports, weather, etc.). They will also learn to read "sight words”, which are high-frequency words encountered when reading. During the second semester (Oct-March), we will continue to focus on expanding vocabulary through learning grammar structures (including nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc.). During each lesson, we will give students a short conversation/skit and they will learn natural conversations. At the end of the school year, they will try to use the vocabulary which they learned to talk about their ideas.

Phonics Class
(For 6 years old and older)
(Wed. & Fri. 5:00-5:45pm)

This class will help children transform from a non-reader to a child who is capable of reading easy sentences and spelling. Starting with learning the phonetic sounds of the alphabet, we hope the children can read simple sentences by themselves by the end of the year.

Conversation Class
(For 6 years old and older)(Fri. 4:00-4:45pm)

We teach everyday conversational English focused on a monthly theme in this class. Using role play, games, songs, and dancing, we encourage children to express themselves in the English language.
